We had a very nice racing bike brought into our workshop a couple of weeks ago which had been abandoned by its previous owner.

It has 'Ottadini' decals and has a very nice lugged and brazed Reynolds 531 frame, conventional 700c x 19mm wheels with Shimano 105 hubs and Vittoria tubulars, Shimano 600 dérailleurs (seven speed freewheel/cassette) with down tube levers and Shimano 600 callipers with aero levers. I am guessing that it dates from the late 1980s or early 1990s. The frame is very nicely finished with hand finished lining round the lugs and chromed rear triangle and fork ends.

Can anyone help with information about this builder or re-finisher - I suspect that the frame has been re-enamelled?

I had a Ottadi bike in the late eighties. It was built by a shop called Pedalsport based in Sunderland. The shop is no longer trading shame as they built good quality bikes.
