I have read a review of a game that I thought sounded good then I realised it was Wii Ware. Now as far as I can make out, I have to buy some credits and then I can download it. Not quite sure exactly how I do that but that's not the major problem.

My main problem is that I wanted to give the game as a gift to some friends children. So can I purchase the credits (wii points?) and then give them it... probably won't look as nice? I take it, I can't download it myself and make up some kind of box to give it to them.

Or do I forget the idea completely? Has anyone ever bought any wii ware before?

Go and buy a Wii Points card. Wrap up in present with note saying go on Wii Shopping Channel and download with these points. Problem solved.

Where do I get a Wii Points Card from? Can you get it from places like Game or Zavi? Is it then simple for them to spend it (their Dad is good with computers etc).

Thanks for the very prompt reply.

Well various shops do them. I don't physically go into shops very often but I think Zavvi do them. I don't have a Wii myself, a mate does otherwise I'd be able to tell you whether you can just write the code down in a christmas card and buy direct from the Wii shop. Someone else may be able to confirm that this route is available.

It is very easy to spend the points.

Mine were given Smooth Moves last Christmas by the family I want to give the present to. At first I thought it wasn't any good ... but after I sat back and watched (whilst holding my glass of wine) my husband balance a Wii Remote on his head and jump over imaginary things I just couldn't help laughing... very good spectator one.... especially if a little alcohol has been consumed (and the kids don't seem to need the alcohol either to enjoy it).

Being a greying wrinkly I don't have my WII wireless routed so cannot avail myself of WIIWare. I guess I could get the router out of it's box and set it up again. I removed it when I was having major ADSL problems and reverted to the supplied boxes.

I've just looked on Amazon and it looks as if I can buy a Wii points card there 2000 points for £15 - problem solved.

Oh now I have just seen your post John and I don't know if their Wii is linked to the internet... I don't even know if my one is... complete numpty when it comes to anything technical:blush:.
