Any users out there? What do you do with regards to front lights?

Does the bag top obsure the beam? Is there enough room to mount one?

Thanks in advance.

I use an Ortlieb Ultimate 5 Classic, medium size IIRC on my Surly Long Haul Trucker and it works fine in combination with my Busch & Muller Lumotec IQ Cyo Senso Plus which is mounted below the bag. I found that without some sort of means of lifting a light above the handlebars mounting a light on the bars was not going to work. You can get a t-bar or similar (handlebar accessory mounts) to lift the light above the bag.

Fittings to use regular handlebar light clamps

Screw into low rider boss (or use a bit of broom handle with ahole drilled through a long M5 bolt and a couple of washers).
Clamp to fork blade (use a boss if possible as a clamped light could get into the spokes)
Fork crown (Fork crown brackets do require space below the bar bag, which may not be available on a small bike.)

Fork crown and fork blade are the only reliable locations.
A fitting to periscope over the top of the bag whould need to be fairly tall, and you could well end up with something that seemed OK which didn't work once you'd put stuff in or on the bar bag.
A light attached to the bar bag would tend to bounce around and be very offputting to use.

I have the same problem with the same bag. I have suspension forks with no boss on. I need to get something sorted before the end of the month.

The periscope type holder isn't tall enough for the light to shine over the bag.
