I have recently got into cycling after many many years, and have already purchased a Trek fx fitness bike and a Trek excal mountain bike both which I really like. I spend my time at two different locations one where it is all roads and the other where it is a mixture of road and off-road .. So I was going to leave the FX at the road location and just keep the mountain bike at the location with the mixture of surfaces.. Well I now find myself enjoying cycling much more than I thought I would, so now have thought I would would purchase a road ( endurance sportive type bike and leave it at the road location and leave the others at my other place) and whilst at my LBS at the weekend I was shown a Orro Piro 1.5 https://www.orrobikes.com/bikes/road/pyro-disc the one I am looking at is with rim brakes rather than discs ( quite happy to hear views on discs vs rim brakes though..
The bike is carbon frame...

Any thoughts on the Orro Piro 1.5 anyone..

Thanks.

I looked at orro bikes at the Newport bike show and was impressed.

Personally I would opt for the disc version though others may disagree.

Thanks Banjo, I must admit I thought money wise they where reasonable value for money... Must admit can't make my mind up about discs or rim brakes.

I'd be keen to hear from any Pyro owners too. Dropped my bike off at a different LBS for a service and thought they looked very nice, lovely 3T finishing kit!

Going to have a test ride when I pick my bike back up!

Orro bikes always get good reviews. Lovely looking bikes.
They are the inhouse brand of parts distributor i-ride (3t & Pro-Logo amongst others), so you get a lot for your money.

I'm looking at the Orro Terra Disc at the moment as a possible new commuter bike.

After having a disc brake cannondale synapse for the last couple of years I dont see myself going back to rim brakes .

They work better in the wet and your not grinding road dirt into your rims all the time.

Orro bikes look stunning, i was lucky enough to be given a full presentation at their headquarters. Well worth the money and a stunning finish with some nice innovations. Keep a look out for their clothing range too if/when it arrives.

I oh so nearly bought a SCT Gold Ultegra Di2, but then the KTM popped at a price too mental to pass up.

From what I've seen, they're superbly finished bikes and apparently the frames come from the same factory as De Rosa. Okay, that statement hides a lot possibilities, but when you look at the quality of the peripheral components and finishing kit you get for the money, they're very hard to ignore.

I have just been in to my LBS and had a serious look at the Orro Piro, build quality looks nice and nicely finished off.. Frame wasn't the right size for me, so the guy in the shop dialed in the measurements of the frame that would fit me into his measuring bike thingy ( don't know the correct name for it ) and 45 minutes Later I handed over a deposit and will pick it up in about 4 weeks time ( my choice as I am too busy until then ) ... Looking forward to my first proper road bike.. Roll on August...
