I was planning to possibly hire someone to teach bikeability to a small group of people who go to my church (4 people including me).

How much would it cost to get something like this sorted? Is it possible? Or do you have to go to a training centre place?

Where would I look to sort something out like this?

Also, could they teach level 2, or would they have to teach us level 1 first?

They would do the level 1 first very quickly then move onto the Level 2 and given you age (I'm assuming teenager) you may as well do the Level 3 as well (not all in one session). You could try contacting the council road safety department or look on the Bikeability web-site http://www.bikeability.org.uk/what_is_bikeability__/bikeability_near_you.php?LAid=72 . (My son did his Level 1, last week but then he's 8 - that was a couple of hours at school).

I would ask how old the people are who are doing this? I arranged training for up to Level 2 over two weekends ( 2 x 3.50 hours ) much of it on the road training. In retrospect, whilst the kids were willing, they were in my opinion marginally too young (8) and it would have suited them better if they were 10-11 (minimum). For adults/young adults it would be fine.

Fortunately much of the training was underwritten by the council or some other form of central funding otherwise I suspect it could work out quite expensive.
