Free-wheeling into oblivion...
Finally got around to ordering some road-specific shoes.

I've a pair of dhb R1 road shoes and a set of the new Shimano 105 (5700)SPD-L pedals on the way.

Will post my thoughts after the weekend ride.

My M520s and MTB shoes can be relegated to the MTB

Got them today (thanks Wiggle

The SPD-SLs are a lot stiffer to get out of than my old SPDs, even on the loosest setting... gonna be fun on my ride tomorrow !

Nice shoes though - fit perfectly

I've got the 105 sl's on my cannondale.. Yeh they are stiff getting in and out at times but never had any close calls in geting them out.. Only issue i have found is you just need to keep an eye on your cleats as mine have moved and come loose 3/4 times now in 3 months as you have to put that much pressure through them to get them out... but a quick check over every now and them sorts that problem out..

Cheers for the tip...

Once I have found a comfortable position I will threadlock the bolts, I think
