GXP Bottom Bracket on Ridley X Ride.

When climbing out of the saddle; and putting some power on the cranks, there is a noise from (??) when the left crank is turned over. I initially thought it was some chain rub as I leaned the bike over to the left; but No! So looked at all the usual suspect areas ie, rear mech, cable slap - headset - handlebar creak etc. I'm thinking it is probably coming from the non-drive side of the bottom bracket bearing? It's a GXP Truitive Sram Elita Chainset, with a GXP Bottom Bracket.
Anyone else experienced this? The bike is a 2011 model, not used as a Cyclo Cross! Only used in dry weather; and only for road riding.
Help and advise appreciated. Thanks

Have you checked the pedals? I've had some really odd noises from pedals in the past which have generally been cured by stripping, cleaning and regreasing the bearings.

As Said above, all the usual suspects including the pedals. I've also had some strange noises in the past from pedals. But thanks for the reply, appreciated.

Worth a try. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the GXP bottom bracket, however looking at the SRAM website, they suggest that it may creak if the tension is not set correctly and that the bearing should be greased after every 100 hours of use. Tech docs here. (I'm not sure which is the exact one for your BB)

Hope it's of use.

Does all the usual suspects include the front fork dropouts? I had something similar and it turned out that a spot of grease on my front fork dropouts solved it. I could have sworn the noise was coming from the drivetrain.
