I've just come to the end of an episode of kidney stones.
It's my second ever bout.
First time it lasted a few days.
This time it lasted a few weeks.
Imagine the pain of being kicked in the bo**ocks, only it lasted for about 3 weeks pretty constant.
This was all while that lovely little stone found its way out of your smallest orifice.
The risk of dehydration made me pretty scared of doing any activity which might make it worse.
Let's say, I didn't feel like getting on a bike.
Had a go this afternoon now that the kidney stones have abated practically to zero.
Combine that time off the bike with a good going headwind and it was pretty challenging.
Here's hoping that the hills in gaseous form drop a bit tomorrow to let me have a better go at it.
