Not much of a poster, more of a lurker.

Maybe there should be a lurkers' thread, where the lighting is very dim, and you can sneak in and out and we'll never know who it was...

Anyway, hoping everyone gets out alive and joins us here eventually.

Used to be a much more prolific cyclist, avid commuter into the City, sunday rides out with Penge CC etc. Then I hit a pothole one dark December morning and forced the head of my femur through my pelvis smashing it into four bits and apart from a couple of TACX rides I've not been on my bike since. I now have some control back in my leg, so I am going to start again, I just need to drop some of the weight I've gained

I've sort of done that too. Fell off on a main road in ice, despite ice tyres. 9 weeks in. Fractures in the wing, through the hip socket and into the ramus, and more lower down in the ramus, so sitting is uncomfy. Docs rightly worried about the fractures in my hip socket. It was missed until I went back 6 weeks later - GP practice told me to bugger off, so rocked up at A&E who X-rayed again, nope not broken. Showed them an email I had from our physio clinic at work (I went there for a check up and they thought I had fractures) which suggested a hip socket fracture. CT scan, then looks of horror from the doctors.

How long was yours ? Early Jan was mine !
