Annoyed with myself earlier..I've got a nice training circuit sorted, mainly main and side roads west essex area.
Passed a traffic light, brain must have switched off as 100m passed it realised I had no idea if the light was red or green..maybe because it was sunday morning 7am and no traffic I went into autopilot.
Just annoyed myself as normally switched on to signals and always stop at reds.

I have set off from some lights thinking they had changed to green only to catch sight out the corner of my eye a car crossing behind me. It was only then I realised I took my cue from the wrong set of lights.
 I guess it pays to pay attention.

I hate that! I call it an out-to-lunch moment and reprimand myself very thoroughly....
I hate to confess this but my most frequent mistake is going through villages I don't know, and not realising that the car in front has pulled in behind parked cars, not to park but to let another car, coming towards us but still ten parked cars away, come through. I got so neurotic about missing this that I ended up sitting behind a parked car for sometime wondering why I couldn't spot the oncoming car...

Sounds a bit like me with oncoming traffic.
