I'm working somewhere else on that day. Have a good one anyway.

Oh, and I wonder how many you'll get there - not 132 to beat the current world record I was involved in organising in 2003 I bet;)

We also had racing that day, too.

Hi

You might be surprised! hehe

We have 60 riders booked in I have been told and then all the others just coming for the day!

We are not trying to beet any records though, we limit the entried to make it safe racing, we are raising money for charity, thats the main aim.

I recon that record could be beaten if we were all to meet up, maybe that is somethign for the future. I know the whereabouts of about 10 machines, and then there is all of the ones in a friends collection, that would go up to about 50 or 60! then anyone else that wanted to join in!

Cheers

Dave

I hope you do beat 131......it'll give us the chance to set a new one out of sight. The nearest anyone has got since is 104 and that was at last year's International Rally.

Oh, and we didn't use all the machines available to us for the record;)

You type as if you are trying to beat us? Why don't you feel like we should all amagamate into one and make one huge stack thatway the record would stay in the UK for the for seeable?

You sound very down on anyone holding a race, holding an event that you are not involved in, why is this?

You should take time off from work and come and join us in september, you will have a great time, and it is only once every ten years!

Cheers and hope you can be a bit more team spirited, all penny riders should pull together, not compete beween eachotherslike your lastmessage has sugested! :-)

I don't mind about your event at all, it's just that I'm not really interested in racing. I was one of the main organisers of the 131 record, it was set 100 yards from where I'm sitting and I'm looking at the official certificate as I type. Of course I don't want the Leicester record to be beaten, but if it is, we'll set another one with all our available machines.

I spend a lot of my working life around the history of cycling and that includes riding Pennies almost every day - so it would be a bit of a bus mens holiday for me. Plus, I'm working somewhere else that day, anyway

Like I've said, I hope you have a good event.

And I thought by adding  to my posts you understand it was all a joke.

Hi

Thats fine then, I am never sure when people are joking or being serious any more, due to experinces on other forums, have had quite alot of abuse off people in the past!

I apologise for taking it the wrong way.

I still think it would bea good idea to join forces and make one real big stack, I mean, ifI think that I could get that many together if not more and you the same, then imagine the outcome, we could hit the 250 or 300 mark!

Cheers

Dave

We thought about doing a stack last year and believed we could get at least 200 together, but until someone beats the 131 there's not much point. The American's, Kiwi's, Aussie's and the NAVCC have all tried but come nowhere near.

Maybe we just need to have a mass ride (in Leicester of course;)) to beat the 1886 gathering of - iirc- around 300.
