I took the new bike out on a 12.5 mile run today, with that as my target and OH on call to fetch me back, but felt able to cycle home

The route (Bo'ness to Dunmore) was fairly flat, though the way back was into a head wind and much more of a struggle, as I was tiring.

However I DID IT! with an average speed of just over 10mph, and I am thrilled.

Not at all bad, given I have a bout of sinusitis (I think) and went for a cycle to take my mind of the jaw, eye and ear ache

I've attached a few pics of the very picturesque village

I know exactly how you feel, I set off to do 12 yesterday, got to my 6 mile half way point, rang the missus to confirm nothing I needed to be back for and ended up doing 36 miles.

9.2mph average though, I'm aiming for about 14 to match my brother

Nice going Mitch :bravo: , it was great weather in Central Scotland today :sun:

That's great Mitchy. I remember my first 25 not that long ago. You'll be doing 50 before you know it! You too Ben!
Great feeling of achievement isn't it.
