What’s the oldest bit of electronic technology you still use? I still have my Suunto Vector, bought the year it launched, 27 years and still going. I no doubt have Casio calculators from the 80s lurking in drawers, but not in use at moment.

I have a Casio scientific calculator that I got when I started work in 1992. I still use it regularly.

I have a record player from 1968 (I think) in regular use. It's actually older than me, and my dad probably bought it second hand in the 70s. I've been playing records all day today on it:

I guess it barely counts as electronics, but you do plug it in. (There's a whiff of trigger's broom about it - I made the wooden plinth a few years ago - but most of it is original)

I have a Garmin Forerunner 201 from 2003 that I still use at the occasional parkrun. It gets odd looks.

It was Garmin’s first all in one wearable gps sports watch.

Does the battery still hold a charge?

I had an FR405 watch that gave up after about five years.

It won't be my shower, that went with a bang this morning.

My Pioneer HiFi dates back to 1984, but I rarely use it now that I can use You Tube. The bedside clock is pre-1988, but I don't how old. I had a cooker that was in daily use for 52 years until I scrapped it, and a fridge that was in use for 43 years. I have a bench power supply that I built in about 1976, that still gets occasional use. I bought my multimeter in about 1972-3ish, that still gets used, as does the soldering iron about the same age.

QUAD 303 poweramps first for sale in 1967, from the serial numbers the first one I bought dates from 69-70 and the 2nd is a bit later probably 72, if anything goes wrong with them pop em in the box and post em to the service dept. in Huntingdon.
Interestingly QUAD have just released a slightly updated version of the 33/303 pre/power amps after the success of the earlier 22/QUAD 2 valve pre/power amps but these are made in China after Peter Walker's son sold the company out to the International Audio Group (IAG) who also own Wharfedale and Mission along with Audiolab and LEAK
