I brought a 5 speed bike on Friday for wopping sum of £11, its had bad repaint in its past and has no markings, I'm pretty sure its a Raleigh because it looks Raleigh to me, just wondering if any one can help tell me the model, its light for its age which Im guessing is 70's possibly early 80s and has the following parts

Sturmey Archer Hubs and Raleigh Wheels 26" (1 1/4).
Sturmey Archer Seat post with Sportex Plastic seat (Made in France)
Suntour perfect 5 rear Cassette.
Elan rear Dérailleur.
Wienmann Brakes (Raleigh brake blocks)

here is some photos of the bike.

My first thought, based on 26 inch wheels, was the Raleigh Athena, but that's a gas pipe, heavy frame.

I'm sure there's a website somewhere where you can break down some models and year built by the serial number. certainly Sheldon Brown has an article on it.
Raleigh Special products division for instance has S/Nos prefixed with a W.
IIRC my 531 is prefixed with WB...which indicates it was built in Worksop.
