Mid to late 80's will be 700c. Earlier 27". All are still available. SJS Cycles are good for hard to get bits. 700c is standard now.

If it has tyres on it now, then check the size, it will either be 700x23/25/28 or 27x 1 1/4 or similar, width depending on whether it is a race or touring frame. Buy the same size and tubes in same size too.
Arguably best option if you want period looking amber wall tyres is panaracer pasela's which come in both 700c and 27" sizes. Google is your friend.

I'd second the recommendation for panaracer paselas - I have them on my 60s racer and they not only look great, but ride very nicely and have only had the one p*ncture in 3,000 miles or so.

Probably actually 700x25c and its imperial equivalent 28 x 1 5/8 x 1 1/16". In unambiguous ISO sizing it is 25-622 IIRC.

Those duro should work but I've never heard of the brand and Schwalbe and Michelin are similar prices.
