What do i do with them? Yes, i cant use them again, the screw valve thingy is on the floor in Lowdham, another one is somewhere in Belgium. Cant path them up.
I think i might put a chain in one and use that to lock the bikes up, but the other i dunno.
Had a puncture today and my support crew came out (AKA Mum:biggrin:) and got a lift home. Was a good ride aswel, going pretty fast.
The Kendas are crap when worn, the peice of glass that punctures the tube was small, at least with the Gatorskins it was a bigger chunck of glass that was stuck in the rubber.
Surely there must be something else i can do besides throw them away?

Some mountain bikers use them as chainstay protectors. I use a piece to cover my seatpost clamp on my commuter bike to stop the rain getting in. I've used sections for tying up plants in the garden. And I made some heatproof mats for the kitchen from some ceramic tiles backed with rubber from tubes. I'm sure there must be more!

Fashion yourself some nice new shorts and vest with a matching cap and wear it out clubbing this weekend Joe!

Great for attaching ladders to car racks, add a couple of wire coat-hangers to one for a rudimentary Bullworker, slice em really thin to make lots of rubber bands or string a few together to make the propulsion system for a seige machine.

I use bits of old inner tubes for protecting my bike seat stays from scratches when I attach the clip on mudguards/race blades. Also good as shims/protection from lamp brackets or other things you want to attach to your handlebars - or any other part of the bike.

Or you vould just sew them all together and make yourself a lovely gimp suit..

I thought I was the only one doing that.

Wrap your bars in them before putting tape on. Not as good as specific padded tape but an improvement over tape alone, and free (yes, I'm Scottish).

Do you reckong you could put that on a bike and get free power?;)
New shorts, vest and cap, well it would be waterproof, might attract some rather strange people though
That site has some good idea, my mobile phone holder that goes on my bars had the holding strap break, i can use some old inner tube for that.
Gun grips, never thought of that. It will protect my frame from all the guns i have on there, hidden so no car drivers can see:evil:

You can make rubber stamps out of them. You need scissors, double sided tape, a little block of mdf and a stamp pad. Cut your bit of tube into a pleasing shape, stick it onto the mdf block with the tape, and stamp away. Good for about a hundred thousand stamps.

Or you could stick to the gimp suit. You would anyway without an application of talc!!!!
