So whats the difference in Shimano SL comopsite pedals and the new composite Ultegra pedals, apart from the logo I cant tell any difference.............apart from the Ultegra pedals Wiggle have for sale look like they have had a sticker placed over the white bit on SLs...............weight is same, everything is the same, so just why the price difference.

The reason I am asking is, when I bought my bike I needed pedals and I was looking at some 105s at 70ish quid, the guy then pointed me to the newer lighter SLs which were £10 dearer but because I had bought the bike a discount would apply, this puts my SL pedals into the Ultegra SL price range but without the sticker now even I am confused...........SLs or Ultegra Sls............over to you.

In MTB standards there are rarely any outwardly visible differences, which in itself is a marketing strategy. However, axle quality, and quite often the cheaper versions have plastic bushings instead of bearings, so the more expensive versions are more serviceable and therefore last longer. I suspect the same will be true of road pedals.
