Oil On Cycling Jersey - how to remove?

Well, somehow I've managed to get a nice patch of oil on one of my jerseys that I can't seem to shift. I've tried my usual trick of soaking the stain in washing up liquid and then washing but the stain remains.

Does anyone have any suggestions for removing oil stains? It's a nice jersey and I'd like to keep it in top condition if I can.

Swarfega, followed by washing up liquid should do the trick.

stain devil for oil works well for me. I wish i had shares in that stuff, it really is a great product

De-Sol-Vit Universal Stain Remover Spray...gets rid of pretty much any stain, doesn't take the colour out and can apparently be used on skin and hair as well (I've avoided this so far, as it hasn't got the most pleasant smell in the world, but as your clothes go in the wash afterwards anyway, it's not really a problem on fabric)

There might be better ways as housework isn't my thing but I have a bar of Vanish soap and it seems to work.
