Im new to cycling...hence this cock up.

Ive just ordered some 'Giordana Donna Tenax Shorts' online.

Im in a rush to buy them as i have a long ride planned with someone soon and i dont have any cycling shorts.
I wanted white and these are the only white ones the shop sells.

Ive just places the order and just out of a matter of interest i googled them to see if any reviews come up.....the words WOMENS seemed to appear.
The website never mentioned anything about being mens/womens...i just presumed mens

So unless im mistaken, ive just ordered some womens shorts...and im a bloke.

Will it really matter?

Depends on your size, the cut, and your confidence.
I don't know the range at hand, but the following catch points apply:

There may be sizing discrepancies between the same shorts for different genders.
The better the short, the more likely its been tailored specifically to the gender. It will remain close to the skin for either, leaving little room for anything unexpected. GCSE level biology, or some experience with the fairer sex will give an indication of relative specifics.
At the moment, only you, 5000 members and the odd browsing guest know what you've done.

My wife's shorts end up in my kit pile by occasion. Her alturas feel like I'm wearing my own shorts, but back to front.
Her other ones are fine. YMMV.

'Donna' means woman, in italian, I believe.

I accidently ended up with a pair of womens shorts. They were on a hanger marked "M", when I got them home I the label inside said size 12 (or 14, it's all the same to me). They fitted fine and the padding felt appropriate so I kept them.

Why white?

Have you ever seen a sweaty bloke wearing white shorts. May as well not be wearing any.

Cancel the order or return them immediatley stating they were ordered in error.
Gender different.

PS. clubs who have white shorts as their team kit see there riders wearing black shorts underneath.

White.....because i wanted them to match my jersey and also i want to minimise the bulge affect.

Hopefully im lucky that im not a sweaty bloke, im a teenager in fine form.:birthday:

You've got this all back to front. Black hides the bulge, any other colour is going to accentuate it. Have you not seen the picture of the Polish cycling team?

I went and collected them today from the shop....tried them on and they fit fine.
Look pretty smart as well.

They are my first pair of cycling shorts, so they felt a tad wierd......so i dont know if that because they're womens or if its just the padding.

But hey ho, yet to ride with them yet though.

I think that photo ought to be made a sticky on the clothing forum just as a reminder NOT to buy coloured bibs!
