Expect a new and improved Fossy (eventually). Watch out at the back I'll be faster.

Eh, I hear you say ?

Well we all know my saga with my bearings. Apparently they aren't working properly (no surprises there). Just got my Testosterone levels back. 9.1. The normal range is 8.4 to 28.7. So I'm normal....wait for it..... for a farking 90 year old bloke !

Mid 40's I should be about 20, possibly a bit more as us cyclists are fitter than an average bloke. This puts me worse than the worse 5% for this age group.

So, anyone on replacement - what works best ? Bit worried about gel with kids and a missus about as it's potent stuff. Might go for injections.

The battle will be with the GP as I'm classed as in the 'normal range'.

Pharmstrong will have nothing on me !

Have you tried Nebido? It's injection, once every 12-14 weeks. No fuss, depo shot so slow release and pretty steady t levels. It's a bigger shot so you tend to need to get the nurse to do it rather then self inject, only down side.

I think apart from gels (and inj) your option is patches but from what I've heard they'd can irritate the skin. Never tried them myself tho.

Been signed off for a couple of weeks . Next test next week, and results by Friday. If it's another 'low' reading then starts the battle. Cutting out anything that can affect results, so no beer, and more essentially, no codeine or other pain killers. Hoping it is a spike due to pain killers.

Oh poo.

Two weeks rest, loads of vitamins, loads of fruit, no pain killers, pain and swelling relieving injection to leftie last week and very little booze, and I'm down to 8.4 which is at the bottom of the normal range, equivalent to a half dead 110 year old. Fark.

Well I'm the only 110 year old with a full head of hair.

Can't believe I've managed to smash out 33 miles this morning. Still cruising at 24 mph on the flat. This cycling is good for you, must be the only thing keeping me going.

Off to the GP tonight.

I've also got the busiest couple of months at work in a week's time, bloody financial year end, how the hell I am going to manage this with T levels on the floor. No wonder I feel like crap.

GP has said they can't prescribe anything, so might have a few months wait, unless my GP did get special permission like she asked.

The old boys are indeed in the knackers yard.

GP can't prescribe me anything. Been referred to endocrinologist at Manchester. Back to work next week but I am knackered. Going to be months before I get sorted.
