3rd miss is being blamed on a late season race belatedly added to his schedule meaning he wasn't at home when he said he'd be and WADA came knocking

Surely if you'd missed 2 you'd be pretty rigorous about your whereabouts.

Is this an actual 1 year ban or like others recently, stripped of his points/wins for last year and he can actually race again next week, or do they sort of bans only apply to big winners

As always, pretty stupid way of getting banned - as rich said, you would think they'd be extra careful to make sure they complied with whereabouts reporting. And I have no idea why just one year, but 2 year is the maximum period so therefore one year could be seen as being a "warning" was showing others that the French will impose bans?

And it looks as if it is a year ban, not one of those "bans" which started sometime a long time ago and finishes the day after it is imposed.

But it's still pants.

Any ban is disappointing and this one the more so, as it appears it was a genuine oversight due to the change of his race programme. Surely his team (or that of any other rider) should have some system in place where they can cross check the schedule given to the testing authorities in the event of changes to his team commitments.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
