Dealers? Its a waiting list to visit the workshop and discuss your requirements I think, or find one used but could well be hens teeth.
@Specialeyes mentioned he has one on order I believe so may be able to expand...
I do indeed have a Portofino Plus on order *claps excitedly*
It's a brilliant process, and you don't
have to visit the workshop in Northern Italy to get one. I had a Zoom consultation with Alex Battaglin (CEO, son of Giovanni, presenter of their youtube videos and general, all-round top bloke) initially. Once we'd refined what I wanted, I sent through the measurements of my most comfortable bike and some measurements of myself - height, inside leg etc etc.
That would have been enough, but I was passing near Marostica in early October so called in to the workshop for the afternoon, met the team, saw some of the finished and in-progress bikes, discussed my geometry again and generally had a fab time. Many of their customers don't travel to Italy at all, and first see their bikes when they arrive upon delivery.
Whilst in the lovely new meeting space upstairs it was a quick standover on a giant vernier caliper (like the old school nurse height check but with one coming up from below too) and a tape measure across the shoulders from Giovanni - these guys work like traditional master tailors, with not a laser or Retul bike fitting jig in sight.
I then sat and watched the cycling on the TV, chatted to a couple of the OB Team members and had a coffee for 10 minutes, then Giovanni and Alex reappeared with my frame geometry all ready and drawn up for discussion/explanation.
I've spent a while going back and forth with the colour scheme (no single photo really does these bikes justice - the cromovelato is alive) and have settled on a dark blue fading to black from where the forks & stays cross the rims, all in cromovelato. Something like this image below, which Dario in the workshop and I photoshopped up (with colour on the bars but not the seatpost):
Here's the workshop and meeting space...
and here's some in-progress photos of my frame...
I've got Build Slot no. 5 (of 100, I think) for 2023 and absolutely can't wait. I've gone for a fully built-up bike with Campagnolo throughout, of course. Far too good of a bike for me, but hey, you only live once and it's not harming anyone. When discussing with the Battaglins what I intend to use the bike for, my answer was 'everything except commuting - but literally everything else'. The best bike is the one you want to ride, right? 👍
