Ended up in A&E after having a major asthma attack (first in 30 years) and spent 20 mins on a nebuliser, now on steroids for 3 days

My fault, kept pushing even though Ive been nursing this cold virus on and off for a month.

Will go back to engine powered bike for this week and see how I am at the weekend.

Sorry top hear that Matt. Hope it clears up quickly and you're back on the bike sooner rather then later.

Ouch, GWS! My mate had a benign tumour removed from his calf/knee and he's the really active sort, a keen triathlete and he's off the bike for a while too. The only consolation if there is one time of the year you had to choose to be off, its now when the weather is sh1t, ice, rain, sleet, gales etc.

Aww thanks for your kind words folks  took me by surprise really, I thought I'd grown out of asthma issues that severe.. It's very frustraiting.

I pushed myself out yesterday in all that rain because I didn't want to loose my momentum. Silly really.

Thanks again

You need to listen to your body Matt. I also have asthma and have ignored the signs to get a few miles under my belt but have ended up having to cut it short, sometimes really struggling to get back to my house.
