Occasional clicks considered normal?

When pedalling hard I can hear clicking coming from the rear mech. Have adjusted the cable tension and the system is working perfectly. All I can think of is perhaps one of the components is flexing slightly under hard pressure which may lead to the clicking. (its always a double click). Other than that everything is perfect. Is it safe to assume all is fine?

Possibly a stiff link going through the jockey wheels?

This isn't going to help but when you're pedalling hard that click could be coming from anywhere between the headset and the rear mech via front mech, crank bolts, saddle etc.

This has happened to me and as one of the other post says it could be a number of things. A quick thing to try would be to lift your bike off the ground (rear wheel) and slowly turn the pedals. Watch the chain as it slowly moves over the rear cogs. If you see a chain link lift away from the cog slightly this could be the culprit. It will cause a slight click/metallic slapping sound. If this is happening, adjust the cable tension on the rear mech.

Out of curiosity which way? eg when standing at the rear of the bike, clockwise or anti-clockwise.
Cheers.

Good question. I can't remember but when you adjust the thumb wheels at either end of the cable you will know if you have gone too far as the chain will move onto another cog. If this happens take the adjustment back slightly. Sorry I can't remember the direction. Try going both ways if you can.

Think clockwise, but like you I can't quite remember. Similar symptoms as described, doing a bit or trial and error will be out in the morning, if symptoms persist will try another half turn in clockwise direction and so on. Hopefully will find solution.
Thanks for help
