I bought an Autel MaxiAP 200 for about £50 which works well and does lots on my Discovery 4. It came with a free software licence for one vehicle but I also bought a VW package so I could check codes on Mrs BB's Lupo.

Never used a PSA one, but have the Swedish one for my Volvos (now singular) and it saved me the £130 purchase price first time I used it. Covers all the transmission, stability, brake, emissions, steering, AC, ICE, yadda yadda, subsystems.

For about £200 they an "all makes" version that covers all vehicle systems on pretty much any car, which is probably a good spend if you're in the habit of changing cars frequently.
