around dingle in southern ireland and towards the end of the ride with about 20k to go ,
i could bearly feel my toes, is this down to my cycling shoes, my weight about 16 stone,
or poor circulation? thanks for any help this is happened a few times now.

Were your feet cold? On longish rides I tend to stop every 20/30 miles and just walk about for a minute to get all the feeling back in my feet. Once the numbness starts I have to get off the bike for a minute or it just gets worse and worse.

It could be any of the things you mentioned as possible culprits. Obviously tight shoes wont help.
I used to suffer poor circulation in fingers and toes but since losing a bit of weight and getting a bit fitter the problem seems to have dissapeared.

hi sorry for the delay getting back to ye all, and thanks very much for the replies.
i have tried everything now , and still no joy, i have loosened the straps repositioned the
cleats, and added gel insoles into my shoes which are shimano rd76 models, i still get numb
toes and a burning in the balls of my feet which are quite sore to press, thinking of changing
shoes, its actually hurtiing when i wear normal shoes/trainers now, really need some help!!

I get it all the time, usually after about 20-30 miles, I loosen my shoes and wiggle my toes about and it's all good. I wear Lake CX236c shoes which really help as they are very easy to loosen and re-tighten on the fly.
