I like to plan ahead and look at weather forecast as much as possible in advance. If I was commuting today I'd probably have gone out but I knew it would be windy and rainy and I'm not commuting so I'm running to gym for resistance training. I got my hard ride in yesterday whilst it was nice. GOnna be like this for rest of August, maybe. I was going to enter the Tour of the Peak this coming Sunday but forecast was bad so didn't bother, believe its not going to be too bad now. Thats the problem with looking to far in the future

Commuting I'll ride in any weather (yes that includes -15c and a foot of snow), but if out for a training ride, in hissing rain, then no ta - done enough in the week anyway.

I did the Skyride (2 laps), cycled there and back on Sunday. Cycled to work on Monday, the wind was horrendous both ways. I was absolutely knackered that night, so used the car yesterday. I like to give the car a run every 2 weeks just to stop it getting seized up.
Back on the bike today. I missed the rain this morning, lets see what the ride home brings.

Very windy here but the sunshine is glorious. Nice 43 miles along the coast to Southampton and back. Just what the doctor ordered
