Ok, so I am looking at purchasing my 3rd bike... This is different than before as this would mean I would have 3 bikes in total not just getting rid of one for another which has been the case most of my life.

So I have the following currently.

Genesis High Lat 20 - Has been taken to a 1x10 road tyres etc, commuting bike but do have a spare set of wheels
Reynolds 525 Frame which is now being finished off as my Singlespeed 'Mincing around' bike

So was looking at a non disc 3rd bike, cyclocross I thought and now I am looking at a road bikes, it will be 2nd hand at least so not wanting new. But I just can't seem to make my mind up, would be used for the commute, sportive's etc.

Help....

outlash

also available in orange
If it's for commuting, I would have thought discs would have been first on the list.

Nope, not wanting to do the disc route, got them on the Genesis so covered there.

Would only be the odd commute not the everyday, plus the added pain of not knowing whether to go Steel or Alloy

You need a nice 531/ 653/ 753 'retro' frame, if you look for an early 80s onwards it'll accept most modern components (if it has 126mm rear spacing you can get a 130 rear hub in easy)

Thought someone might say this, but have been avoiding a little with a retro frame, mainly due to the fact I have the 525

Just that I have guards that don't require the mounts etc. So its not high on my list.. Leaning towards a CX bike Viner frame branded as Glider...

I did mention about a cyclocross bike in my first post.

This is the issue I am not sure really what I want, maybe the fact that I would be able to have a 3 bike garage has gone to my head.
