being of a ''certain' age I'm interested in older road bikes
saw one in Classifieds ---- but I'm not yet 'approved to reply'

''You will need to have made several posts in the forums before you can reply [...or post a new thread...] in the For Sale''

Fair enough - I agree - I'm on several forums - same rules.
but for future browsing...is it a number of posts or a time criteria..?

Hello John,

As per the welcome message in your Inbox (top right) and our guidelines - it's 30 days after registration and you'll need to have made at least 5 posts (which you've already done).

It's all handled automatically so should kick in all by itself.
