Just having a little tipple. It is one of three small bottles, bought in Edinburgh before i began my chemo. This one Ileach or it seems Ee-luck.one of a couple of ways to say it.It is a bit oily and iodine tasting for my palate.Anyway only one more mouthful left.

It's an Islay malt, that's how they all (mainly) are........................be warned they can become favourites easily.

I absolutely love The Ileach, I originally discovered it in the Moffat Toffee (and whisky) shop a few years ago. The cask strength version is superb and comes in at around 58%. It's one of those 'where is it actually from' independently bottled whiskies. A bit of searching at the time suggested it was Lagavulin, which I could certainly agree with. I did try the normal 40% version though and surprisingly it was a bit meh. Cask strength for the win then 🥃.
