Not been feeling it lately, went out for a ride last week but it was quite windy and didn't really enjoy it,then I had to work 7 straight days of 13 hour shifts so not had the time or energy to bother but I went out before work this morning and felt great ,got 2 days off after today and the weather looks good.....as Mickey Flanagan would say "I'M BACK IN THE GAME" !!!

Sounds like your body needed a break. I am itching to get out tonight, like a usual Wednesday, but giving it a break after doing the Velothon on Sunday and the training leading up to it. Will make Saturday's planned ride that much sweeter and my body will no doubt be better equipped.

I got 20 miles in this afternoon but it was just a bit too hot for me to really enjoy it...never thought I'd be able to say that after the weather we've had until now. I'd forgotten just how much sweat stings when it drips into your eye.

I'm just over a year into cycling (commuting mainly) and there are some days when I think 'f*ck it, I can't be arsed, I'm hungover, I'll just get the bus'

I almost instantaneously regret that decision when I'm sat on the bus surrounded by morons having loud, personal conversations on their mobiles, or playing loud (always rubbish) music via their leaky iphone headphones.

Get a Buff Arthur.....

Normally I'd be wearing a cotton cap, which would have kept it out of my eyes. Foolishly I left home without it today and paid the penalty for failing to wear protective headgear.

I went out for a short ride last Monday and it was a bit of a struggle. Just been out for a slightly shorter ride and it felt pretty good. It was a bit windier today, I've worked 5 days of late shifts and haven't been sleeping too well.

Commit to the warm-up at least. When you go riding and are not feeling well after a few kilometres you can still turn around. But more often you will find your motivation on the road!
