Bike is making a clicking noise when peddling. Last time it was the bb and those of you who kindly responded to my thread about it will remember the LBS swopped the bike due to it. I really hope its not the same issue. Does lightning strike twice?
Will give it a look over in the morning for anything obvious but the omens aren't good.
This bike has done approximately 50 miles from new all in good weather and without any real exertion on the crank.

What bike is it? And is it the same make/model as your previous one?

Does it make the ticking noise qhen under load and is it the right or left side? I have an allez that had this problem and it was the 6mm bolts that was the cause. By tightening them just a smidge above their upper torque range the noise disapeared.

On the saddle yes. No effort involve at all.

The reason I asked about whether it happened when sitting on the saddle is that when I had a Cannondale, I used to get a very loud clicking sound when sitting, but never when standing on the pedals. I eventually, nailed it down: I found that when I took the seatpost out and gave it a clean along with the inside of the seat tube, the clicking disappeared. I assume the noise was caused by small particles of grit between and was amplified by the alu tubing.
Annoying noises on bikes are often difficult to pin down as the cause is often not where it appears to be.
Give it a go and good luck.

Sorted it! Turns out my topeak pump on the frame was the culprit. The handle had dropped slightly and the crank arm was catching it as it rotated. Moved it to a different part of the frame now.

Thanks for all the tips, much appreciated :hello:
