...but a which size! This is for the road bike.

700x25 is what I have now, will I notice any comfort change (ie less) if I put on 700x23's??? (on rides of 50 to 100 miles).

What a bizarre coincidence! I am quite literally searching for similar answers on changing from 28 to 25! I don't reckon I'll notice to be honest but I'll be interested in others opinions.

well I find 25's fine, but thought I would go for 23's if there isn't going to be a noticable difference... ?

I run 23's only - changing different widths if using the same tyre - you'll not notice. If changing tyre make/model, then yes you'll notice.

If you are going to 23mm, I'd recommend Mich Pro Race 3, Continental GP4000 or Schwalbe Ultremo's. - You'll like them.....

What are you using now ?

I honestly couldn't tell you, just tyres that came on the bike 700x25 is all I know about them.

First tyres I will have bought for the road bike, so it will doubtless feel different whatever I put on. Just a case of knowing will it be harder on my arse over 100 miles if I drop to 23's really?

mini hi-jack, but I want to switch tyres on my hybrid at some point, running 700x35 at moment. Was thinking of going to 700x28, how do I know what the rims will accept?

I did the same thing back in Nov. Just switched back to the 35's though after a p*ncture, caused by a fairly worn back tyre. I would imagine youjr rims will take 28's no problem macB
