A cycling social enterprise locally have set up the Northumberland Cycle Campaign. This is copied from a FB post:
"I’m so pleased to announce that the inaugural meeting of the Northumberland Cycling Campaign happened this morning, yay! Held at the Newcastle Cycle Hub, whilst not in Northumberland the rail links to Newcastle combined with a short bike ride from the station to the Quayside, helped volunteers and interested people to come from Berwick, Warkworth, Morpeth, Hexham!
Good turnout and laid the foundations of the membership along with objectives!
Northumberland needs this to represent the views of cyclists to local Councils particularly in the light of the number of transport consultations happening at the moment.
Watch this space for more details in the days and weeks to come but for now thanks the The Cycle Hub for allowing us to meet there and for the drinks and delightful food!
