This one looks interesting, thanks for that. Looking at the route its much the same as the Northern Rock Cyclone. Sorry Virgin Money Cyclone. Might give it a go anyway.

Yes it is very similar, perhaps a good one for those who are unable to do the cyclone. Unfortunately for me im working on the day of the Cyclone, and its my wedding anniversary on the day of the Angel!

These were my thoughts as well. With me doing permanent shift work I never know how I'm going to be on the day, so being able to register on the day makes me a happy bunny..Are you doing any of the other local rides this year then?

I have already done a local Audax (killhope Grimpeur) which was arranged by Houghton CC, only 100K but a good ride in the pennines. Weather conditions are normally very bad, but this year they were outstanding.

Im doing the Keswick Sportive in a few weeks, but have not decided whether to do 4 or 6 passes. Depends how I feel on the day.

If you are interested in club riding have a look at www.sunderlandclarion.org.uk

Thanks again for that. Looked at the Clarion site but I think I would seriously have to improve my ride times on the bike before I think about joining a club like that. I think I've turned into a plodder rather than a racer. You must have some go in you to think of doing the passes in the lakes. I might give it a go one day. One pass at a time:biggrin:.
