I need some new cycling gloves. I like the fingerless variety and I have large hands so obviously need large gloves. I also get trigger finger a fair bit on both hands so need well padded ones. In the absence of a LBS in my town I decided to look in the Go-Outdoors shop. Load of old tat they had, so I went over the road to Halfords. Not a pair of gloves in the shop. I still think the best ones I had were from Lidl.

My Lidl gloves just will not wear out, pity as the spare pairs I bought are occupying valuable space in my wardrobe.

I bought some Pearl Izumi gel gloves in the US, which seem better than my non-gel Giros which had gone a bit thin.

I have these... http://www.probikekit.com/uk/pearl-izumi-select-gel-cycling-gloves-mitts.html (I paid $30 though!)

Otherwise, Specialized gel ones seem decent, just had a devil of a job finding any in my size! No gel gloves seem to come up especially big - if you have large hands, you'll likely need XXL I reckon

Endura Mighty Mitts for about £15 - nice, well made and comfortable. (Not that there's anything wrong with cheapo Aldi fingerless gloves when they're in stock though.)
