I want some protective gloves for dirty jobs. I have some latex gloves I usually use but they tear easily. I've heard that Nitrile gloves are stronger but don't know what to get. I think disposable are what I need so I can feel what I'm doing but what grade and where to get them.
Has anyone used "justgloves.co.uk". And are these worth getting?

These type are good... http://www.justgloves.co.uk/13765_-Safety-Gloves/Gripper-Gloves.html

I got some from Aldi recently. £3 for 3 pairs.

I prefer to use a good dry barrier hand cream before messy jobs, keep nail short and scrape nails over hands to ensure cream goes under them. Better feel, cheaper than gloves, and easier for fiddly work.

I always have a box of nitrile gloves on the go, have to be powder free for me though as I can't be doing with dusty hands from powdered ones. I do find nitrile to be stronger than latex and also easier to reuse mid job if required.

FWIW try your local car dealer, if they have a trade operation, (I used to work for a Peugeot dealer that did), they should have gloves available and at a decent price as well.

Basically people can be allergic to Latex, and the powder exacerbates this problem - hence the reason for the change in the NHS

After that it is fairly pot luck as the thickness and level of duty changes with company and "model"

One useful tip is that if you want to "feel" then wearing a size smaller makes the feel better

Nitrile gloves, highly recommended . Used them for a lot of years, after my dad taught me a lesson. I was stripping paint from something, not using gloves as a barrier. My Dad had me pick some peppers in the garden, also without gloves. I tasted peppers and was warm from them most of the afternoon. He asked me later if I noticed anything after picking the peppers, and I said yes.
He said-"Now imagine if pepper can go through your bloodstream like that, what toxic chemicals could do".
I've used a good quality Nitrile since, money well spent.
