My mate's drop dead gorgeous girl friend was known as Spanner. Every time we saw her our nuts would tighten.
Mine was "Mike" at school. It's not my name but if you prefix it to my surname it's, er, rude.
I was also called "No Selection" for reasons that are lost in time. Actually they're not. All the kids used to congregate around a certain sweet shop at lunchtime. I used to frequent a smaller sweet shop for my Toffo's and Drumsticks. When asked why I didn't frequent the busier shop I'd respond "No, I'm not going there, it's got no selection." People used to say "No Selection" with a jutting out lower jaw when they spoke to me. I have no idea why.

When I joined the Corps my nickname was 'Heathen" as my first name is Christian. Another lad I joined with quickly got the name 'Alice' as he was into Alice Cooper!
