Any nice companies to deal with?

Dualit. UK based company, Crawley, I believe.
My 2 year old coffee machine developed a leak from the 'Shower' area.
A phone call to them, and a chat with a really friendly, helpful lady worked out what I'd need to fix it easily myself.
£3 Inc p&p and a couple of days later, the correct part was delivered.

I wish more places would get it right when things have a problem.

Dualit have always been good in my experience.

I'd add Lumie (formerly Outside In) for a similar, excellent level of after sales support. They do SAD lamps and other light therapy devices such as sunrise alarm clocks. We've had one for about 20 years and it's been repaired twice, for very little cost each time. A good thing these days when so much you buy is disposable and not repairable.

Sigma Sports. Organised collection of my faulty trainer and credited me the full purchase price the same afternoon they received it back. Good communication too.

Also a recent one. Crelling who make specialist harnesses for the disabled. I sent them an enquiry and they sent me a long email in response with several options. The one they recommended the most was a cost effective product supplied by another company. Very much appreciated.

Octopus Energy, just simple fast response. Really refreshing.

Aftershokz bone conducting headphones "oh, your headset is broken? Here's another pair, don't worry if your old ones are 30 months old and we don't need them back"

Brabantia bins - no quibble replacement of broken parts

I recently bought a used Hepco and Becker rack for my BMW motorcycle. I couple of bolts were missing, I sent an email to H&B in Germany and they popped them in the post free of charge.

Endura sent me a new cycling jacket when the zip failed on my old one. The jacket was out of the warranty period but the nice Scottish woman on the phone told me that they'd been supplied with a batch of unreliable zips so were ignoring the warranty limit and replacing any faulty goods free of charge.

In the bad old days of computer monitors made with CRT technology rather than LEDs, I had an expensive 17" monitor which failed several months out of warranty. Another nice woman on the customer service line told me that my records must be wrong (they definitely were not)... the dead device still had one month of warranty left, so she would 'correct the error' - thanks, Iiyama! :okay:
