Next Project arrives

my next project has arrived today so will be opening the box after tea to see what and how it looks , fingers crossed should get away with a good clean , new cables , brake pads , bar tape , tyres & tubes along with some cleaning and regrease of bearings etc etc .

its an R E W Reynolds of Northampton 531 Tourer thats come back to its home county for a while before winging its way of to another new owner .

initial inspection reveal hubs dated 73 or 78 so bit older than expected but should do the job

well its just had its first spin around block after strip & re grease of bearings along with new cables and pads . Well impressed how nimble the frame felt all in all so far so good . looks like frame no 4150 and backs of calipers both dated 80 so just need to look at hubs a bit closer to check date on them .

Lovely machine. The old ones aint so bad as many seem to think are they ?

just covered another couple of miles and well impressed , so its on commuter duties next week .
