Please can anybody help me to decide of what make of bike i should buy. I'm looking for a hybrid bike for road and some off road riding (canal paths).

Picked up a magazine yesterday and the the 3 top Hybrids were

3rd Kona Dew £400 7/10 review

Also, are you sure you want a hybrid, maybe a CX (AKA Cyclocross) type bike, or even just a normal road bike with some apt wheels would fit your needs better? Just a thought.

Thanks for all your help. The cyclocross seem to be all drop bars,which I don't want. So I've been to evanscycles they said they will build up three bikes for me to try out with a £50 deposit each. So I've decided on a cannondale,Scott and trek.
