Hi everyone,

Am new here so Hi!

Have been cycling for about 2 years, but only really intensely for the last 6 months to a year.
But still know virtually nothing about fixing my poor bikes...which is why I'm here.
I do the school run on my mtb - 3 miles off road through woods - great fun with 3 and a half stone daughter plus school bag, lunch box, etc all on board. Have destroyed many brake pads and two wheels last term. oops.
I play on my road bike for fun, but am saving up for super-duper new one.
I go into town on my 1970 Balmoral Hercules with - *gasp* a wicker basket on it..oh the shame....
And I do yoga in the evening to counter all the effects of cycling during the day..

I will be bombarding you folk with lots of(quite possibly idiotic - sorry) questions once I've read through everything already on here. So it's going to be a while..

Thanks for all the useful stuff I've learned already.

Welcome, badkitty!
Your kitty will be even worse after splashing out on all the bike-related stuff you'll be buying.
