Hello one and all.
This is my first post so firstly I'd like to introduce myself.
My name is Ryan and ride a speicalized crosstrail sport.
I've had the bike for one year now and had a problem with my rear brake.
Basically I didn't have one.
It has hydraulic disc brakes. I took it to my local cycle surgery to get the correct brake fluid for it.
Bought shimano mineral oil.
Had a quiet day at work so I bled the rear brakes using a syringe that I got separately.
The brakes felt perfect just like new!
Since it had been a year since i bought the bike I'd thought I best bleed the front too.
Did that no problem - handle didn't feel any different.
Rode the bike back and forth to work about 3 times (total of about 10 miles).
Now when I brake I'm getting a bad squeak from front and rear brakes!
I've tried cleaning them with an alcohol based cleaner as well as rub both pads and discs with sand paper to remove any glaze/shine that may be present.
Any ideas what it could be?
It happens every time i brake but only when going very slowly/coming to complete stop!

All help would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds a bit like what a car does, if so its usually a bit of grit that gets between the pad and disc.

Wouldn't recommend sanding the rotors......clean with brake and clutch cleaner (about £3 from any car parts store)
Just spray on and wipe with a clean rag. (highly flammable so only use in a well ventilated area with no naked flames)

Also worth coating the metal backs of your pads with some copper ease to reduce squeal.
