Newbie here so please go gentle.

Decided today was the day that I broke the 30 mile mark. Cycled from Bristol to Bath in glorious sunshine. I even got to race the steam trains along part of the cycle track.

The computer said I had done 32 miles in 2hrs. I reckon I'll take that.

Next time I'll aim for 40 miles.

Anyway i was so chuffed I thought I'd let somebody know!

Great stuff. And what a beautiful day for it! I only did a gentle 20 today because I had nothing in my legs but that didn't matter because it was just so lovely to be out and feeling warmth from the sun in a cloudless sky in mid-October. Maybe having taken it easy today will mean I'm up for a good ride tomorrow. Make miles while the sun shines

Thanks for the replies. It was really busy yesterday on the cycle track. I don't think it helped that they were running the steam trains as there was peeps with camera's everywhere.

Between dodging them and the occasional wayward horse it was quite an adventure!

Cool! That's a very respectable distance/time- managed 26 miles in 1.5 hrs yesterday & just got in from a gentle 16 mile bimble in an hour this morning- the weather is just perfect for cycling IMHO - cool - windless & sunnyish - loverly!!! ;-)))
