Hello everyone

Started cycling again end of July after playing with my kids and thinking god i am unfit

So bought a Carrera TDF as it was reduced to a silly price so thought it would be a good starting point have already changed the stem as thought that was to long and am now looking into changing the pedals to spd pedals any information on the best ones to start with very welcome please and best place to buy also.

As for goals just looking to keep fit and take part in some charity events next year around Norfolk

Hi there Gavlaaaaarrrrr (that's some moniker you have there) - you've joined on a Sunday when everyone's out riding but welcome and join in the fun. It's great that you are getting on so well.

I don't use spd pedals but if someone doesn't come along soon with a suggestion, put up a new thread about it in whatever the part of the forum is called that deals with all that stuff (forgive, post-ride + post-cake brain).

They are good although i have now moved onto a 520s
