First off happy new year! have a great 2009!
I know it's not much but I reckon a 6 mile circuit over some valleys every day will go a long way for me. (I wouldn't mind going to bed and getting up at sensible hours either lol it's 0714 and i;m still awake).
So does anybody else made any resolutions? specifically but not restricted to your bikes!
Happy new year again!

Yes, I have a couple.

1. Diet, cycle more miles this year and do a lot more cross training in the gym.

2008 was my first year as a road cyclist, so I can only get better ( or so I keep telling myself!!! ).

2. Work up to a base level of cycling related fitness so that come the summer, I can enter a couple of sportives this year. Nothing serious, just a couple of gentle ones to break me in, so to speak.

Really fancy the idea of the Etape Caledonia but I dunno if there's still spaces left on it.

Non cycling related?. Get the Aprilia MoT'd and bring it out of hibernation so I can use it more this year than I did last year.

That's about it. Pretty boring really!!!.

RSV Mille 1000. ;)

Hardly rode it at all last year because of a load of different reasons. Bit of a big red paperweight to be honest. A lot of money to have sat tied up in a paperweight that doesn't get used nearly as much as it should do!!.

New years resolutions:

1/ Ride my bike as often as possible.
2/ Try to stay consistantly below 13 stone whilst building a little more muscle.
3/ Get better at bicycle maintanance.

Thats about it.

To increase mileage on my bike, do 5 century rides, commute as much as I can ( I sometimes dip out if the weather is crap), to compete in more Triathlons this year, gain promotion at work, move house, take my wife and kids on holiday somewhere nice and eat healthier.

Not much really

See.....this is something I also did last year - poofed out of commutes on the bike some mornings as the weather was rubbish.

This year one of my other resolutions is to commute as much as poss, no matter what the weather is like.
