The wheels on my Spesh Hardrock need replacing as the cones are quite badly pitted.

While I'm on I quite fancy going to disc brakes as I'm sick of adjusting Vs.

So these and two of these sounds to me like 200 quid well spent.

However I could well be very wrong.

Any thoughts, opinions, comments welcome.

I would definitely go for hydraulic brakes over cable if I was going to make the change.

You'll need new leavers too, right?

edit: oh, no, maybe not - compatible with linear pull leavers.

If you don't like adjusting brakes...you won't like cheap cable pull disc brakes. Avid BB7s are the minimum for hassle free riding IIRC.

That's what I was assuming / hoping, otherwise having to fit new levers just adds more to the cost and makes it less worthwhile. Thanks for the recomend.

Well I did it. Fulcrum Red Metal wheels from On-One and Avid BB7s and, man it feels like a new bike.

Now, about those forks!
