I've always ridden slick 23mm's on my road bike, but my LBS is currently selling off old maxxis wrormdrive tyres for a fiver so I just bought some to see what they are like. They are pretty heavily treaded, and are 32mm wide.

So, will I need new innertubes for these tyres? Also, I have always believed the late great Sheldon Brown on the pointlessness of treads on road tyres, so what can I expect from these beauties, will I find more grip cornering in slippy conditions, or just on loose surfaces? Will the ride be a lot comfier or just slower?

Cheers

they'll probably be slower, less grippy on corners but comfier and better off-road. If you take your road bike off-road that is
