Hi

Just bought a second hand Scott S30 FB. It has the Hutchison Flash 700 28C tyres that come with the bike. I used to ride Armadillo tyres, and haven't had a puncture for over a year, but they are quite heavy going and don't do much in the way of soaking up the bumpy London roads.

Can anyone recommend a decent, fast tyre that won't puncture easily? I've got so complacent with my Armadillos that I've stopped riding with an inner tube and pump! Or are the Armadillos still the way forward?

Thanks

Do you still want 28c?

I used to like the Panaracer Pasela in 25c (fairly sure they come in 28 too).

Thanks for the replies. I just realised I have been running 23c's on my old bike - you can run 23's and 28s on the same rims, right?

Possibly it'll depend on the rim width; Sheldon might put some light on the matter.

evryone on here must know what I think of gatorskins

I found a discarded one out the back of our offices, it looked so new that I picked it up and then had a good squint, already well cut up, I don't think they're robust enough for London commuting
