I'm not a MTB enthusiast but yesterday I joined a group of people for an off road ride, here in Ho Chi Minh and thoroughly enjoyed a day out covering about 60 Kms off road. The organiser of the Sunday Rides owns a Trek Dealership and so they meet and ride from his Trek LBS. Yesterday the Trek Asian area manager had come over from the USA to join in the ride and also bring with him the New Trek 29'er to show everyone. He rode it during the ride and I must admit it really looked "the business". It's a full SUS bike but the rear suspension has three settings so that you can adjust 'on the fly' as you approached different types of terrain. I'm not sure if all modern full SUS bikes have this but it seemed to work very and all of the regular off road crowd were very envious of the bike. It was also very good to get talking to him during the ride and learning some of the inside workings of a major bike manufacturer. The end result was that I'm now the proud owner of a Trek MTB but NOT of the very good but very expensive 29'er!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
